Freedom, Espionage, and Asylum.
At this meeting, we aim to discuss the philosophical import of the current events relating to Edward Snowden and Chelsea (Bradley) Manning.
The questions raised by these events are many and range from ideas of freedom of speech, the transparency of government, the privacy and propriety of information, and the age-old right to asylum.
